The Wood Dale Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for Recreation Park. Work will include site
preparation, construction fencing, temporary erosion and sediment control measures, site removals and
clearing, earthwork operations, storm sewer utilities, cast-in-place concrete foundations & footings,
segmental retaining wall, playground & challenge course equipment installation, shelter installation,
pedestrian asphalt paving, sport court paving & striping, concrete walks & curbs, engineered wood fiber
surfacing, and chain link fencing & gates.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after
10:00 AM on July 2, 2024 from the Accurate Reprographics 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville,
Illinois 60563 at phone: 630.428.4433, website: www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are
free to download and available at the non-refundable cost of reproduction to print.
Bids will be accepted at the Wood Dale Park District, 111 E Foster Avenue, Wood Dale, Illinois 60191
during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s
name and address, and “Bid for Recreation Park,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no
later than 10:00 AM on July 19, 2024. Bids will be opened on July 19, 2024, at 10:01 AM at the Wood
Dale Park District, 111 E Foster Avenue, Wood Dale, Illinois 60191. All bidders will be required to
submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of
the Base Bid, payable to the Wood Dale Park District.
The successful bidder, as determined by the Wood Dale Park District, shall be required to pay, and to
agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820
ILCS 130) for the locality of the Wood Dale Park District (DuPage County), to each laborer worker, or
mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful
contractor, and all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Wood Dale Park District, certified
payrolls no later than the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month.
The Wood Dale Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals,
or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn
until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Wood
Dale Park District. The Wood Dale Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on
this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies,
equipment, services, and construction.
