The Lake Villa District Library (LVDL) does hereby invite sealed bids for the Phase II Improvements project. Work will include site clearing and pavement removals, grading, stormwater improvements, concrete and unit paving, topsoil stockpiling, import and placement, building vestibule addition, performance stage / storage building, shade structures, stone veneer walls, custom entry arbor and Hobbit-inspired residence façade, site power and lighting, site furnishings, recirculating water feature, irrigation, and plant and turf installation.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after Monday, February 24, 2025, available from Accurate Repro, Inc., 2368 Corporate Lane, Naperville, IL 60563, 630-428-4433, www.hitchcockplanroom.com. A non-refundable fee equal to Accurate Repro, Inc.’s charge for printing or digital download of the documents will be charged for each requested bid package.
Bids will be accepted at the Lake Villa District Library 140 N. Munn Road, Lindenhurst, Illinois 60046, during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for Phase II Improvements,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than Friday, March 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
Lump Sum bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time of receipt of bids and will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above stated time and place. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Total Bid, payable to the Lake Villa District Library.
The Lake Villa District Library reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals that are in the opinion of the Owner, to be in the best interest of the Lake Villa District Library. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Lake Villa District Library.
