Mercer Park Field Improvements

The Iowa City Community School District does hereby invite sealed bids for Mercer Park Field Improvements. Work will include temporary soil erosion and sediment control measures and maintenance, earthwork operations, asphalt paving, concrete paving, curbs and footings, chain link fencing and gates, netting, shelter installation, dugout installation, roof repair, sports equipment installation, storm utilities, electric distribution, lighting. sports lighting, receptacles, field irrigation, landscape planting, and turf grass seeding.

Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after 10:00 AM on February 12, 2025 from the Hitchcock Design Group Plan Room website: www.hitchcockplanroom.com via Accurate Reprographics (2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville, Illinois 60563 – 630.428.4433) for the non-refundable cost of reproduction.

Bids will be accepted at the Iowa City Community School District – Iowa City Community School District Physical Plant, 1137 S Riverside Dr, Iowa City IA 52246, during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for Mercer Park Field Improvements,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than 10:00 AM on March 11, 2025. Bids will be opened at 10:01 AM on March 11, 2025, at the Iowa City Community School District – Iowa City Community School District Physical Plant, 1137 S Riverside Dr, Iowa City IA 52246. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Iowa City Community School District.

The Iowa City Community School District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Iowa City Community School District. The Iowa City Community School District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
