Town Center Park

The Village of Deer Park does hereby invite sealed bids for Town Center Park. Work will include temporary

soil erosion and sediment control, site preparation, earthwork, storm utilities, crushed stone paving,

asphalt paving, concrete paving, curbs, and footings, picnic shelter installation, playground equipment

installation, play surfacing (engineered wood fiber), sport court color coating, chain-link fence and pickleball

net and post installation, cast-in-place concrete seat walls, site furnishing installation, electrical

work, native seeding, turf grass seeding and landscaping.

Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after

10:00 am on December 3rd, 2024, from Accurate Reprographics 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville,

Illinois 60563, 630.428.4433 or www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are available at

the non-refundable cost of reproduction for each bid package.

Bids will be accepted at the Village of Deer Park, 23680 W. Cuba Road, Deer Park, Illinois 60010 during

regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name

and address, and “Bid for Town Center Park,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later

than 2:00 pm on December 19, 2024. Bids will be opened on December 19, 2024, at 2:01pm at Vehe

Barn, 23570 W. Cuba Road, Deer Park, Illinois 60010. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security

in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid,

payable to the Village of Deer Park.

The successful bidder, as determined by the Village of Deer Park, shall be required to pay, and to agree to

pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS

130) for the locality of the Village of Deer Park (Lake County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic

needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and

all subcontractors shall be required to submit certified payrolls online no later than the tenth day of each

calendar month for the immediately preceding month.

The Village of Deer Park reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals,

or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn

until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Village of Deer

Park. The Village of Deer Park encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the

successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services,

and construction.
