Ivanhoe Park

The Manhattan Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for Ivanhoe Park. Work will include temporary soil erosion and sediment control, earthwork, drainage, asphalt paving for walking paths, concrete paving for walks, curbs, and footings, and the installation of: playground equipment; activity obstacles; picnic shelter; gaga ball pit; site furnishings; play surfacing - engineered wood fiber, artificial turf; native plantings and educational signage; turf grass seeding; and landscaping.

Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from the Accurate Reprographics 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville, Illinois 60563 at phone: 630.428.4433, website: www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are free to download and available at the non-refundable cost of reproduction to print.

Bids will be accepted at the Manhattan Park District, 397 South State Street, Manhattan, Illinois 60442, during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Bid for IVANHOE PARK,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than 10:00 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025. Bids will be opened at 10:01 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Manhattan Park District 397 South State Street, Manhattan, Illinois 60442. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Manhattan Park District.

The Manhattan Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Manhattan Park District. The Manhattan Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
