The Village of Mt. Morris does hereby invite sealed bids for Zickuhr Park. Work will include site earthwork, asphalt paving and color coating, concrete footings, paving, and curbs, picnic shelter installation, basketball goal installation, engineered wood fiber surfacing, playground equipment installation, fitness equipment installation, drainage improvements and playground underdrainage.
Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after 10:00 A.M. on January 9, 2025, from Accurate Reprographics 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville, Illinois 60563, 630.428.4433 www.hitchcockplanroom.com. Bidding documents are available at the non-refundable cost of reproduction for each bid package.
Bids will be accepted at the Village of Mt. Morris, 105 W. Lincoln St. Mt. Morris, IL 61054 during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor’s name and address, and “Village of Mt. Morris, Zickuhr Park,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than 1:00 P.M. on January 30, 2025. Bids will be opened on January 30, 2025, at 1:01 P.M. at the Village of Mt. Morris, 105 W. Lincoln St. Mt. Morris, IL 61054. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier’s Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Village of Mt. Morris. No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond or check.
This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq.). A prevailing wage determination has been made by the Illinois Department of Labor for public works projects in Ogle County. The contract entered into for this project will be drawn in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly and provide for payment of all laborers, workmen, and mechanics needed to perform the work at no less than the prevailing rate of wages (or the prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work) for each craft, type of worker, or mechanic. The Contractor(s) selected will also be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and executive orders, including but not limited to those pertaining to equal employment opportunity.
The Village of Mt. Morris (Village) reserves the right to waive technicalities, to accept or reject any or all bids, and/or to accept only portions of a bid and reject the remainder. The Village will award the contract to the lowest most responsible and responsive Bidder, as determined by the Village. In considering the Bidder’s responsibility, the Village may evaluate, among other factors, the ability of the Bidder to provide experienced labor sufficient in numbers to timely and properly complete the services, the financial capability of the Bidder, and the performance of the Bidder on other projects.
No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Village of Mt. Morris. The Village of Mt. Morris encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
